I congratulate you on the Day of Fatherland Defenders and the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus!

The centuries-long history of Belarus is full of unfading examples of heroism. This holiday symbolizes the continuity of generations of the Belarusian people in selfless service to the Homeland!

On this day we address special words of gratitude and respect to veterans of the Great Patriotic War and soldiers-internationalists who have shown examples of the highest valour and heroism in combat operations!

In the realities of today’s hybrid geopolitical confrontations, the painstaking and responsible work of archivists to preserve, study and popularize documentary heritage is an important contribution to national efforts to ensure information security and counteract attempts to falsify and distort national history. The protection of an objective picture of the past acquires particular significance in the Year of Historical Memory!
