The Local State Archives in Rechitsa released a collection of archival documents “The Restoration and Development of Agriculture in Rechitsa, Loev, Bragin and Khoiniki Districts: Evidence of Archival Documents. 1943-1950”

The Local State Archives in Rechitsa has prepared and published a collection of archival documents “The Restoration and Development of Agriculture in Rechitsa, Loev, Bragin and Khoiniki Districts: Evidence of Archival Documents. 1943-1950”.

The collection covers the process of restoration and development of agriculture in the above mentioned districts in the first years after their liberation from the Nazi invaders in the Great Patriotic War. It presents the archive documents that reveal the essential aspects of the reconstruction period in the sphere of agricultural production.

In contrast to the previous collections of documents created by the Rechitsa Archive, this edition expands the geographical component: it includes archival documents not only from Rechitsa, but also from other districts in the Archive’s acquisition area – Loev, Bragin and Khoiniki. The reader has an opportunity to assess the problematic aspects of the revival of the war-torn agrarian sector, and to see the similarities and differences in the dynamics and nature of the changes that took place in each of the districts.

The publication will be of interest to everyone who study the history of the Rechitsa, Loev, Bragin and Khoiniki districts of the Gomel region.
