The outgoing year 2020 was not easy. For all mankind, it has become a time of new challenges and trials, serious decisions and hard work. It is gratifying to note that in a difficult sanitary and epidemiological situation the state archival industry of Belarus has effectively coped with the tasks assigned to it, which is another evidence of high professionalism and responsibility of the Belarusian archivists.
The state archival institutions have achieved the main goals and targets in the key areas of acquisition, registration and preservation of documentary materials. A number of publishing and exhibition projects have been successfully completed. New forms and methods of work were actively introduced; scientific and practical forums and festive events were held in a remote format. The material, technical and personnel base of the national archival system continued to improve.
The year 2021 poses no less ambitious and large-scale tasks for Belarusian archivists. Ahead is the celebration of the 100th anniversary of the Archival Service of Belarus. Here the contribution and initiative of every team and every employee in our industry will be especially important!
Please accept my best wishes of good health, peace, prosperity, inexhaustible energy and good spirits! May the coming year be successful and fruitful, become a guarantee of stability and prosperity, may it bring many professional victories and achievements for the benefit of our dear Belarus!
