Contents:

The Archives embraces the fonds of various government institutions–local authorities, statistical departments, institutions in the field of industry, agriculture and forestry, the culture and education divisions of the town executive committees, as well as the fonds of personal papers.

The fonds of government and administration agencies reflect the history of social, political and economic development in the region.

The fonds of public education (education departments of the executive committees, the vocational and technical secondary schools) contain administrative directives, school schedules, long-term plans, staff lists, reports on staff number and composition, expense summaries, etc.

Data on the development of culture, arts and printing are held in the records of newspaper editor’s, houses of culture, libraries, etc.

The fonds of health institutions contain minutes of meetings and conferences, medical inspection certificates, surveys and reports on medical institutions.

The fonds of people’s courts, notary’s and prosecutor’s offices contain data on the activity of these organizations, the strengthening of law and public order, the legal assistance to the population, etc.

Records of industry (factories and plants), agriculture (collective and state farms) and forestry reflect the issues of branch development, the organization of   management, the systems of planning and economic incentives, and more.

The fonds of construction and architecture institutions contain directives and instructions on production activity, staff lists, annual schedules for construction, mounting, contract and subcontract work, and annual reports on the principal activity.

In addition, the Archives holds a collection of personal papers  related to the participants of the October Revolution of 1917, the Civil War (1918-1921) and World War II, Heroes of the Soviet Union and Socialist Labour and other famous people who come from this area. These are autobiographies, memoirs, newspaper articles, personal papers, photos, correspondence with fellow soldiers, diplomas.
