There are many documents that illustrate the work among women, peasants and national minorities in the pre-war period (1920-1935), and throw light on the process of the collectivization, the establishment of collective farms, the development of Stakhanov’s Shock-Worker Movement and the socialist competition, as well as various cultural and educational activities.

The documentary materials of the Party regional and district committees contain data on the current state and restoration of the economics after the Nazi occupation, materials concerning the commemoration of the people’s deeds in the Second World War, documents concerning the agitation-propaganda activities and economic campaigns, data on the developments in industry, transportation and agriculture, surveys and reports on health care, public education, and the work of various social organizations and charitable societies.

The Archives holds memories left by the participants of the October Revolution of 1917, the Civil War, the defence of Mogilev in summer 1941, the patriotic underground organization in the Mogilev region in the Second World War, documents written by the writer M. Lynkov when he worked for the “Communist” newspaper in the town of Bobruisk in 1930.

There are documents of various social organizations that operated in the Mogilev region from 1990 to 2002: veterans, women’s, youth, children’s, charity, religious and political parties.

The Archives keeps personal fonds relating to N. Ia. Velikanov, the collector of bookstamps; M. P. Bulavatski, lecturer at the Kuleshov Teachers College in Mogilev; I. A.
