Annual meetings of employees of the central state archives and institutions

On 18-24 December 2015 the central state archives and institutions held annual meetings of employees to summarize the results of work in 2015 and to set up objectives for 2016. Attending the meetings were chiefs and division heads of the Department for Archives and Records Management of the Justice Ministry of the Republic of Belarus.

In the meetings it was noted that all scheduled tasks in the main areas of archival activity have been fulfilled. In 2015 the central archival institutions performed activities under the Archives of Belarus 2011-2015 State Programme, conducted work in the protection and security of archival fonds, strengthening of archives logistics and resources basis, the formation and stocking of the National Archival Holdings of the Republic of Belarus, etc. An important area of archival activity was the provision of information services to customers, the use of archival records, the information provision of governmental institutions and local self-government, etc.

The participants also raised issues of development of the material and technical basis, increase of wages to archivists, etc.
