21st international conference Documentation in Information Society: Regulations and Methodological Support of Records Management, Moscow21st international scholarly conference Documentation in Information Society: Regulations and Methodological Support of Records Management was held on 18-19 November 2014 in Moscow at the conference hall of the Russian State Archives of Socio-Political History.

The conference was organised by the Eurasian regional branch of the International Council on Archives (EURASICA), the Federal Archival Agency of Russia, the All-Russian Research Institute of Archival Science and Records Management, with the participation of the Russian State University for Humanities and the Russian Society of Historians and Archivists.

Participants at the conference were representatives from Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Moldova, Russia, Slovenia, Tajikistan, Finland. The Archival Service of Belarus was represented by the director of the Belarusian Research Institute of Records Management and Archival Science A.E. Rybakov.

14 reports were delivered at the plenary session on the first day of the conference.

Over 40 reports were presented on the second day during the work of two sections: “Problems of professional training in records management” and “Developments of records management in the conditions of electronic recordkeeping”. A.E. Rybakov (member of the organizing committee) delivered a presentation “The role and significance of the state standards in the system of normative and legal regulation in records management in the Republic of Belarus” (plenary session).

The conference focused most attention on the issues of normative and procedural regulation in the use of electronic records and electronic recordkeeping systems.
