Department for Archives and Records Management of the Justice Ministry held a board meeting

On 26 September 2013 the Department for Archives and Records Management of the Justice Ministry of the Republic of Belarus held a board meeting to discuss issues of preparation for autumn-winter period 2013/2014 at the state archive institutions.

In pursuance of the Council of Ministers Resolution № 448 of 4 June 2013 “On preparation for work in autumn-winter period 2013/2014”, the state archive institutions have organized the scheduled inspections of fire alarm and warning systems, fire-prevention water supply, heating and electric equipment to meet requirements for technical normative legal acts and took the measures necessary for the preventive maintenance and repairs of the equipment. The plans of organizational and technical events were elaborated according to the analysis of the life support systems in the buildings in the previous autumn-winter season and considering the instructions from the State Energy Inspection and the State Fire Inspection.

The department board noted that the state archives have completed a complex of required measures to support the best storage of records as well as to create favourable and safe working conditions for personnel at the state archive institutions. To maintain the required temperature regime the measures for winterizing windows and doors will be completed in due time before the advent of cold weather.
