Film Lectures for Knowledge Day: The History of Belarusian Statehood on Screen
On September 1, 2026, as part of the «Archives for Schools» campaign and events dedicated to Knowledge Day, staff from the Zonal State Archives in Polotsk held film lectures for students from the city’s schools.
The events took place at Basic School No.9 named after A.S.Pushkin in Polotsk and Secondary School No.14 named after M.S.Grinevich in Polotsk. High school students were shown a documentary film from the Belarusian State Archive of Film, Photo, and Sound Documents, «Independence Day: A Chronicle of Belarusian Statehood».
The film screening not only provided an opportunity to explore archival documents and historical memory but also encouraged students to reflect on their country’s past and present.
