Guardians of Values and Traditions: How Archives and Departmental Museums Collaborate

On August 27, 2026, employees of the Zonal State Archives in Zhlobin participated in an off-site seminar and workshop entitled «Connecting Generations: The Corporate Museum as a Guardian of Values and Traditions».

The event was held at the Zhlobin Locomotive Depot of the Gomel Branch of the Belarusian Railways.

Oksana Nikolaevna Pavlyukova, Head of the Document Accounting, Preservation, and Use Department, presented a paper entitled «Archival Documents as the Main Witness and Exhibit of an Enterprise Museum». The presentation concluded with a screening of the film «Independence Day: A Chronicle of Belarusian Statehood», produced by the Belarusian State Archives and Film Documents.

During the seminar, participants explored the corporate museum’s experience in preserving historical heritage, promoting professional traditions, and fostering patriotic education among youth. Collaboration between archives and departmental museums in ensuring the preservation of historical documents was also discussed.
