BGAMLI at the opening of the exhibition «Leonid Levin. Moments» in Khatyn
On July 24, 2026, staff of the Belarusian State Archives and Museum of Literature and Art (hereinafter referred to as BGAMLI) took part in the presentation of the exhibition «Leonid Levin. Moments», organized by the Khatyn State Memorial Complex jointly with Galina Leonidovna Levina (his daughter) and dedicated to the 90th anniversary of the Honored Architect of Belarus. Representatives of BGAMLI, BGAKFFD, the Leonid Levin Historical Workshop, the Children of War Museum, and others participated in the event.
D.S.Viltovsky, Director of the Khatyn Memorial Complex, and G.L. Levina, the daughter of the architect, addressed the guests with welcoming remarks. In her speech, BGAMLI Director E.A.Makarenko emphasized the importance of preserving the historical and cultural memory of the Belarusian people in instilling in the younger generation a love for their homeland. The exhibition «Leonid Levin. Moments» is the story of a man who saw history in every moment, a human destiny in every home, and the memory of a nation in architecture.
The exhibition features the master’s graphic works, created during numerous trips across Belarus, as well as his books—his autobiographical novella «Khatyn», his works «War and Love», «1,2,3,4…», his poetry collection «Moments», and his album «To Survive the Experience». The exhibition is complemented by information boards describing Leonid Levin’s most significant architectural projects, his creative method, his social activities, and his contribution to the preservation of Belarus’s historical and cultural heritage.
