On July 3, Independence Day, a solemn event full of profound meaning and gratitude took place at Victory Square in Babruisk
Memory is more than just words. It is the thread that connects the past and the present. We remember those who gave their lives to give us freedom, who believed in a peaceful sky and defended our right to independence. Their heroism is forever inscribed in the annals of the city of Babruisk and in our hearts.
The ceremony was attended by city officials, representatives of businesses, and organizations. Those gathered honored the heroes by laying flowers at the tank monument on the grave of General B.S. Bakharov and at the mass grave of Soviet Army soldiers who died during the Great Patriotic War of 1941–1945. Every bouquet, every bowed head today said, «We remember. We are proud».
As long as memory lives, so do they. Happy Independence Day!
