The Krichev Zonal State Archives Institution held events as part of the national «Archives for School» campaign and the «Young Archivist» campaign

On June 22, 2026, as part of the national «Archives for School» campaign and the «Young Archivist» campaign, a discussion was held for students of the «City of Dreamers» summer camp at Krichev Secondary School No.8. Lead archivist Victoria Kondratenko told the students about that horrific day of June 22 – a day that forever divided history into «before» and «after». On that day, the lives of millions of Belarusians were turned upside down, and the country entered the most terrible and bloody war known to humanity. And today, decades later, we carry this memory in our hearts, like a sacred flame lit by a generation of victors.

Following the discussion, the children were shown the documentary film «Hero Fortress», produced by the Belarusian State Film, Photo, and Sound Archive.
