Action «Archives – school» in the institution «Zonal state archive in Lida»

From June 15 to June 19, 2026, the «Zonal State Archive in Lida» institution was visited by students of grades 1-8 of secondary schools of the city of Lida No.8, 11, 12 and the Lida District Center for Children and Youth Creativity, who attend summer school camps. Lessons were held for students on the topic: «Acquaintance with archival work», sightseeing tours of the archive with visits to exhibitions were organized.

The archive staff also held master classes on the topic: «I’m learning to write with a pen».

The archivists told the schoolchildren about the state archival institutions of our country and what they do, introduced them to the history of the Zonal state archive in Lida and its main areas of activity. The guys had a good time and were able to try themselves in the role of archivists.

Also, students of schools in the city of Lida watched documentaries prepared by the Belarusian State Archive of Cinema and Photographic Documents.
