BGAMLI’s participation in the filming of the «ONT» TV channel on the Day of Memory of Maxim Gorky

On June 18, 2026, the leading archivist of the Belarusian State Archive-Museum of Literature and Art (hereinafter – BGAMLI) Natalya Aleksandrovna Mizon took part in the filming of a story for the ONT TV channel dedicated to the Memorial Day of the classic of Russian literature Maxim Gorky (Alexei Maksimovich Peshkov). Maxim Gorky was one of the first to pay attention to the creativity of the geniuses of Belarusian literature – Yanka Kupala and Yakub Kolas, he was a friend of Adam Bogdanovich, the father of the famous poet Maxim Bogdanovich, he saw the first creative steps of the future author of «Vyanka».

During the filming, Natalya Aleksandrovna talked about valuable documents from the family collection of the Bogdanovich family, illustrating the close relationship between Adam Egorovich and Maxim Gorky. Among the unique documents stored in the archives-museum, a special place is occupied by the family photo album. It contains a photo of Maxim Gorky with his wife Ekaterina Peshkova with a gift signature to the Bogdanovich family. This rarity also reminds of family ties: Ekaterina Peshkova and Alexandra Volzhina (wife of Adam Bogdanovich) were sisters. Another unique evidence of the special relationship between the families is the personal pass of Adam Yegorovich Bogdanovich to the funeral of Maxim Gorky, which took place on Red Square in Moscow.
