An exhibition dedicated to the history of state awards in Belarus was presented at the Belarusian State Museum of the History of the Great Patriotic War

On June 12, 2026, the Belarusian State Museum of the History of the Great Patriotic War hosted a presentation of the exhibition «The History of Belarus through the Prism of State Awards and Commemorative Badges», prepared by the Department of Archives and Records Management of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Belarus, as part of a meeting of the interdepartmental working group preparing the draft Law of the Republic of Belarus «On Amending the Law of the Republic of Belarus «On State Awards of the Republic of Belarus».

The exhibition clearly demonstrates how the system of state awards reflects key historical events—from the Great Patriotic War to the present day—and serves as a link between the heroic past and the current values of the Belarusian state.

The exhibition features award documents and nominations for awards to government officials, partisans, and artists, provided by the National Archives of the Republic of Belarus and the Belarusian State Archives-Museum of Literature and Art, as well as commemorative medals and badges held by the Department of Archives and Records Management of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Belarus.
