Little-Known Documents on the History of the Great Patriotic War from the Collections of the Zonal State Archives in Zhlobin

As part of the «Little-Known Documents on the History of the Great Patriotic War» series, the Zonal State Archives in Zhlobin presents digital copies of archival documents from the collection of the «Zhlobin District Council of Workers’ Deputies and Its Executive Committee»: Resolution No.98 of the Zhlobin District Executive Committee dated March 15, 1972, «On the Inclusion of the Settlements of Zalesye, Zaluzhye, and Kastrychnyk of the Korotkovich Village Council of Zhlobin District, Destroyed During the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945», in the Khatyn Memorial Complex.

The inclusion of the burned villages in the Khatyn Memorial Complex signed recognition of their tragedy at the highest state level. This step transformed the pain of a single settlement into national grief, enshrining the memory of their fallen compatriots in the granite of national history.
