The State Archives of the Vitebsk Region, together with the Beshenkovichi District Executive Committee, organized film lectures for students

As part of the «Open Film Archive» and «Archives for School» campaigns, the State Archives of the Vitebsk Region, together with the District Executive Committee, organized film lectures for students in grades 10 and 11 of Beshenkovichi at the Beshenkovichi District Cultural Center.

During the event, students in grades 9-11 learned about the unique Belarusian offensive operation «Bagration» and the liberation of Beshenkovichi from the Nazi invaders.

A courage lesson dedicated to the beginning of the Great Patriotic War was held for students in grades 8-9.

The films «Operation Bagration» and «Hero Fortress» from the BGAKFFD collection were shown during the event.

Thanks to the efforts of archivists, who carefully preserve the truth for posterity, and the district’s leaders, the children were able to understand the terrible price and dedication of Soviet soldiers at which our shared Victory was achieved.
