On the Participation of Brest Region State Archives Staff in the «Holy Flame of the Eternal Flame» Event

On May 12, 2026, staff of the Brest Region State Archives participated in the «Holy Flame of the Eternal Flame» event, organized by the Brest branch of the Beltelecom RUE for branch employees and communications veterans.

As part of the event, the documentary film «Hero Fortress», produced by the Belarusian State Archive of Film, Photo, and Sound Documents, was shown.

Before the film screening, Olga Sukharevich, a first-category archivist in the Document Use and Publication Department, spoke about the heroism displayed by soldiers and officers during the defense of the Brest Fortress and the perpetuation of the memory of its defenders.

Following the event, those present viewed the archival document exhibition «There Was War… There Was Victory!», which documents the difficult period of German occupation in the Brest region and the post-war reconstruction.
