A gala event, «And Families Keep in Memory…», and the opening of two thematic exhibitions at the Zonal State Archives in Lida

On May 8, 2026, on the eve of Victory Day, the State Archives held a gala event, «And Families Keep in Memory…», and the opening of two thematic exhibitions: «The Female Face of Victory – Zoya Dmitrievna Balabay» and «Nobody is Forgotten – Nothing is Forgotten!» State Archives staff prepared and presented presentations for the exhibitions.

The event, «And Families Keep in Memory..»., was traditionally prepared by archival staff with the participation of their children. The necessary information and photographs were collected, and slides and presentations about war veterans were prepared. Parents and their children spoke about their family members who fought on the fronts of the Great Patriotic War, about their difficult military labors, injuries, and awards, paying tribute, gratitude, and memory to those who brought Victory Day closer. Following the ceremony, archive staff and children laid flowers at the mass grave of Soviet soldiers in the city park.
