Participation of the Belarusian State Archives and Museum of Literature and Art in the Opening of the Exhibition «Mikalay Bairachny. Sculpture. On the 75th Anniversary of the Master»

On April 30, 2026, E.A.Makarenko, Director of the Belarusian State Archives and Museum of Literature and Art, and O.F.Shatalova, Head of the Department of Scientific Description of Personal Documents, took part in the opening of the solo exhibition «Mikalay Bairachny. Sculpture. On the 75th Anniversary of the Master» at the National Art Museum of the Republic of Belarus.

Among those present to congratulate the sculptor were A.G.Vasilevsky, Chairman of the Belarusian Union of Artists; Vladimir Ivanovich Prokoptsov, Honored Artist of the Republic of Belarus and PhD in Art History; Yuri Sergeyevich Ivanov, photojournalist; and colleagues and friends of the sculptor.

Mikalay Bairachny is a multifaceted artist who works in ceramics, easel sculpture, book illustration, and caricature. The exhibition features autobiographical works inspired by the life stories of the artist’s ancestors, as well as detailed animal sculptures unique in their technique and combination of materials—marble, bronze, granite, steel, carnelian, and even wood.

Each sculpture is a story or image, containing additional meanings and artistic associations.
