The National Historical Archives of Belarus has published a virtual exhibition, «Labor Legislation in the Belarusian Lands in the 19th – Early 20th Centuries», on its website

The National Historical Archives of Belarus has prepared and published a virtual exhibition, «Labor Legislation in the Belarusian Lands in the 19th – Early 20th Centuries», dedicated to Labor Day.

The legal foundations of labor relations in Belarus have undergone a long evolution under the influence of various historical eras. In the 19th and early 20th centuries, the foundations of labor law were formed, transforming unregulated exploitation into a system regulated by law. The exhibition features circulars and instructions from the Ministry of Trade and Industry of the Russian Empire, as well as factory inspectors from Belarusian provinces, internal labor regulations at industrial enterprises in Belarusian cities in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, and workers’ paybooks.
