April 26, 1986, forever etched in history

On the eve of Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant Remembrance Day, staff from the Zonal State Archives in Bobruisk held a thematic screening of the documentary film «Chernobyl: Chronicles of Events» for students from the medical, trade, economics, and technology colleges.

The film was created using unique materials from the collections of the Belarusian State Film, Photo, and Sound Archive. It reminds us of the heroic work of the liquidators who acted in mortal danger and of those who paid with their health and lives to save the world.

This tragedy will forever remain in human memory as a terrible reminder of the destructive power of the atom.
