On the thematic lesson «Chernobyl: Fates, Events, Memory» held for students of the Mozyr Children’s Art School No.2

As part of the national «Archives for School» campaign, a thematic lesson «Chernobyl: Fates, Events, Memory» was held for students of the Mozyr Children’s Art School No.2 on April 23, 2026, dedicated to the 40th anniversary of the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant accident, one of the largest man-made disasters in history.

Yulia Mikhailovna Suponenko, an employee of the Zonal State Archives in Mozyr, particularly emphasized the importance of preserving the memory of the Chernobyl accident and the people who contributed to the cleanup efforts. During the event, the documentary film «Chernobyl: Chronicles of a Tragedy», produced by the Belarusian State Archive of Film, Photo, and Sound Documents, was shown to the institution’s staff and students.
