Forest! Welcome! Paradak!: Forest Planting in the Dzerzhinsky District

As part of the national voluntary campaign «Forest! Welcome! Paradak!», which is taking place in Belarus from March 16 to April 18, 2026, Mikhail Glushakov, Director of the National Historical Archives of Belarus, together with the heads of national archival institutions, took part in a forest planting in the Dzerzhinsky District. Participants planted over 3,000 oak saplings, contributing to the restoration of the Minsk Region’s forest resources.

For archival workers, participation in such environmental initiatives has become a good tradition. This is not only physical labor in the fresh air but also a symbol of the continuity of generations: just as archivists preserve the country’s documentary heritage, they care for the preservation of its natural resources.
