The presentation of the «Volgograd-Vitebsk: Memory of Generations» project was held as part of the Humanities Department Week at the Vitebsk branch of the Belarusian Academy of Telecommunications (BATS)

From March 30 to April 3, 2026, the Humanities Department Week was held at the Vitebsk branch of the Belarusian Academy of Telecommunications (BATS).

The event included a presentation of the «Volgograd-Vitebsk: Memory of Generations» project and lectures on the liberation of Vitebsk during the Belarusian offensive operation «Bagration» and on native Vitebsk residents who participated in the Battle of Stalingrad, along with screenings of documentary films.

Quests about animals that participated in the Battle of Stalingrad and Victory Square in Vitebsk were organized for the children.

1. The Vitebsk branch of the Belarusian State Academy of Telecommunications held a presentation of the project «Volgograd-Vitebsk: Memory of Generations».

2. Lessons and dialogue platforms were held for students at the Vitebsk branch of the Belarusian State Academy of Telecommunications as part of the project «Volgograd-Vitebsk: Memory of Generations».

3. A poster exhibition of archival documents, «In the Summer of 1944», was presented to students at the Vitebsk branch of the Belarusian State Academy of Telecommunications as part of the project «Volgograd-Vitebsk: Memory of Generations».

4. A banner exhibition of archival documents, «Craft after crater, this land is gouged and twisted…», was presented to students at the Vitebsk branch of the Belarusian State Academy of Telecommunications as part of the project «Volgograd-Vitebsk: Memory of Generations».

5. Award ceremony for the winners of quests as part of the «Volgograd-Vitebsk: Memory of Generations» project about animals that participated in the Battle of Stalingrad and Victory Square in Vitebsk.

6. At the exhibition stand of archival documents «In the Summer of 1944», created as part of the «Volgograd-Vitebsk: Memory of Generations» project.

7. A memorial dialogue «Natives of the Vitebsk Region – Participants in the Battle of Stalingrad» is taking place, featuring Svetlana Myasoedova, leading archivist at the State Archives of the Vitebsk Region.
