Presentation of the Joint Project by the Belarusian State Film, Photo, and Sound Documents Archive and Belkniga OJSC

On March 21, as part of the XXXIII Minsk International Book Fair, a presentation of the «Chytanka» mobile app was held. It was created with the support of the Ministry of Information of the Republic of Belarus, the First National Channel of Belarusian Radio, the Union of Writers, and Belkniga OJSC.

The presentation emphasized the key role of the Belarusian State Film, Photo, and Sound Documents Archive (hereinafter referred to as BGAKFFD) in updating the mobile app. Since 2026, BGAKFFD has been included in the project’s list of partners and has contributed archival documents to its expansion.

The app features a collection of audiobooks by Belarusian authors, including fiction, poems, and children’s books. The app also features archival audio documents from the Belarusian State Academy of Film and Television Arts (BSAFTA) collections in the «My Works Reading Authors» section. It features recordings of poems by Belarusian poets performed by the authors. Among them are Ya.Kolas, Ya.Kupala, M.Tank, N.Matyash, and others. This section features nine works.

The «Chytanka» mobile app will continue to be updated with archival recordings, creating high-quality Belarusian-language content available to users.

Now Belarusian literature has become even more accessible – the app is available for download on Google Play, the App Store, and the App Gallery.
