Archival Records and Military Power: An Unexpected Conversation in a Place Where Silence Preserves the Memory of Centuries

On February 18, 2026, the State Archives of Minsk region held a joint information day on the topic of «The Defensive Power of the Belarusian Army and Patriotism in Modern Times». Valentina Dovgaleva, Chairperson of the Minsk Partisan District Organization of the «Belaya Rus» Public Organization, addressed the staff.

It was unusual and symbolic. They discussed not distant centuries, but the most pressing issues: the country’s defense capability and true patriotism.

Archive staff listened and asked questions. Once again, they were convinced that dialogue about important issues is possible anywhere, even where time stands still between pages.
