The Krichev Zonal State Archives held events as part of the «Archives for School» national campaign

On January 29, 2026, as part of the «Archives for School» national campaign, thematic discussions were held for students in grades 4A and B of Krichev Secondary School No.8, commemorating International Holocaust Remembrance Day.

January 27 is International Holocaust Remembrance Day. In remembrance of those tragic events, Victoria Kondratenko, lead archivist at the Krichev Zonal State Archives, held a remembrance hour, «Holocaust: Memory of Generations», for students in grades 4A and B of Krichev Secondary School No.8 on January 29, 2026. The students learned about the history of the Holocaust, the concentration and death camps of Auschwitz, the Minsk Ghetto, and the Krichev prisoner-of-war camp.

Victoria Kondratenko presented archival materials documenting Nazi atrocities in the Krichev region, eyewitness accounts of the mass murder of Jews, and the burned village of Antonovka.
