On a Master Class on Working with Archival Documents at the State Archives of the Brest Region
On January 16, 2026, the archive’s reading room at 8 Engels Street was visited by 8th-grade students from the State Educational Institution «Brest Gymnasium No.6 named after Marshal of the Soviet Union G.K.Zhukov» V.Demchenko, N.Zhuk, V.Zhulego, and history teacher Yu.V.Karabanyuk.
Under the teacher’s guidance, the students conducted research on the topic «Spiritual Heritage of the Brest Region» to participate in the national «School of Peace» project and the national competition of social youth projects «Youth of Belarus for Life, Morality, and Family Values».
As part of the «Archives for School» campaign, reading room staff member Veronika Krishchenko held a master class for budding researchers on identifying archival documents on their topic of study, sharing practical skills in searching and analyzing archival data with the participants. The young researchers learned methods for working with archival sources, learned how to navigate file inventories, and identify materials of interest.
