«Pesnyary: A Prayer of Voices and Hearts». BGAKFFD at the anniversary memorial evening for Vladimir Mulyavin
On January 21, 2026, the National Library of the Republic of Belarus hosted an evening in memory of Vladimir Mulyavin, «The Heart Prayed and the Voice Prayed», dedicated to the 85th anniversary of the singer’s birth.
The Belarusian State Archive of Film, Photo, and Sound Documents is one of the project’s partners. Along with the Belarusian State Archive-Museum of Literature and Art, the V.G.Mulyavin Museum at the Belarusian State Philharmonic Society, and the National History Museum of the Republic of Belarus, BSAKFFD actively contributed to filling the portal with rare documents, some of which were presented to the general public for the first time.
The materials include rare family photographs, archival footage from the ensemble’s first concerts and filming, as well as footage from documentaries demonstrating his creative process, learning the Belarusian language, working on arrangements, and the unique atmosphere behind the scenes of the ensemble and his personal life.
The event was addressed by the director of the BSAKFFD, A.N.Gonchar. In his speech, he noted the uniqueness of the documents provided.
An exhibition of Belarusian photo artist Mikhail Maruga was also shown. Famous songs from the Pesnyary ensemble’s repertoire were performed at the event.
