BSAMLI at a gala event celebrating the 66th anniversary of the Yakub Kolas State Literary and Memorial Museum

On December 4, 2025, staff of the Belarusian State Archives-Museum of Literature and Art (hereinafter referred to as BSAMLI) took part in a gala event celebrating the 66th anniversary of the Yakub Kolas State Literary and Memorial Museum and the 100th anniversary of Yakub Kolas’s poem «Symon-Muzyka». The museum held a seminar, «Books and Exploration: New Horizons for Literary Institutions», and signed an agreement with the Smolensk Region International Cooperation Center. A warm and inviting ceremony was held to donate the book «The Fisherman’s Hut» to the museum, bearing a dedication from Yakub Kolas, from representatives of the State Museum of the History of Belarusian Literature. A replica of the Alexander Military School badge worn by K.M.Mitskevich in 1916 was donated by collector Andrei Filatov, a member of the Belarusian Republican Public Association of Collectors. The presentations by the event’s participants were engaging and informative, covering the history of the book editions of Yakub Kolas’s poem, the preservation of the writer’s literary legacy in Polesia, and interactive literary initiatives at the museum.

Following the seminar, participants were able to attend the grand opening of the temporary interactive exhibition «Guests of the Yakub Kolas House», located along the memorial staircase.
