«Archive Herald» from «Orlyonok»: a story told in the voice of youth, presented by the ZGA in Molodechno
In November, two issues of «Archive Herald» will be published, dedicated to the participation of young archivists from Molodechno in the anniversary media shift of the «Boomerang» festival at the All-Russian Children’s Center «Orlyonok».
The first issue is a behind-the-scenes look at the creative process. It tells the story of how Polina Prostakova and German Rozhok, participants of the Young Archivist School at the ZGA in Molodechno, created a public service announcement about the Nuremberg Trials. The young authors didn’t simply study the chronicles; they interpreted them through poetry, visual imagery, and technology. The team received the media shift grand prize for their work.
The second issue features the video itself, «The Nuremberg Trials», created by the schoolchildren. Artificial intelligence helped select rhymes and generate footage, while the children themselves contributed their soul and understanding. The poetic form, archival footage, and visual imagery make this work not just a media product, but a true act of civic growth.
«Historical truth is not an abstract concept, but the foundation of patriotic education. When teenagers themselves recount past events, they become not only spectators but also guardians of memory. It is precisely this kind of engagement, genuine interest, and creativity that ensures that history will live on in new forms and for new generations», noted Inna Pudakevich, Director of the Zonal State Archives in Molodechno.
