The Belarusian State Archive of Film, Photo, and Sound Documents participated in the roundtable discussion «Images of the Great Victory in Literature and Cinema. Presentation of the book «Look and Remember. The Great Patriotic War in Belarusian Cinema» at the 31st Minsk International Film Festival «Listapad»

On November 4, 2025, employees of the Belarusian State Archive of Film, Photo, and Sound Documents participated in the roundtable discussion «Images of the Great Victory in Literature and Cinema». Presentation of the book «Look and Remember. The Great Patriotic War in Belarusian Cinema», organized as part of the 31st Minsk International Film Festival «Listapad».

Speakers at the roundtable included Alexander Nikolaevich Karlyukevich, Chairman of the Writers’ Union of Belarus and Director of Belarus Publishing House, and Yevgeny Nikolaevich Arendarevich, Chairman of the Belarusian Union of Cinematographers, director, screenwriter, and producer. Presentations were given by staff from the Center for Research of Belarusian Culture, Language, and Literature of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus and the Belarusian State Archive-Museum of Literature and Arts. Mikhail Vladimirovich Garelik, Deputy Head of the Department of Document Use and Information, presented a paper entitled «Film and Photographic Documentation as Historical Memory of the Soviet People’s Feat in the Great Patriotic War», which included a screening of a chronicle of literary figures during the Great Patriotic War.

The roundtable concluded with a presentation of the book «Look and Remember. The Great Patriotic War in Belarusian Cinema», dedicated to the theme of the Great Patriotic War in Belarusian cinema.
