On a tour at the State Archives of Public Associations of the Mogilev Region as part of the «Archives for School» campaign

As part of the «Archives for School» campaign to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory, second-year students from the Faculty of History and Philology of A.A. Kuleshov Mogilev State University visited the State Archives of Public Associations of the Mogilev Region on October 20, 2025.

During the tour, the students learned about the history of the archive and its main activities. They viewed the exhibitions «Defense of the City of Mogilev», «The Partisan Movement», «The 80th Anniversary of Victory», and «The Genocide of the Belarusian People during the Great Patriotic War». They also watched the documentary «History of the Great Victory», produced by the Belarusian State Archive of Film, Photo, and Sound Documents.

Students learned about the document digitization process and were able to observe all stages, from preparing a file for digitization to image processing.

As part of this event, students visited a museum room containing exhibits from the Party and Komsomol eras, allowing them to learn about the history of the Party archive and immerse themselves in the atmosphere of that time. A tour of the archive’s storage facility was also given, during which students learned about the composition of the stored documents and their storage conditions.
