On the Participation of the Director of the State Archives of the Brest Region in the International Scientific and Practical Conference in Petrozavodsk

On September 25-26, 2025, A.G.Karapuzova, Director of the State Archives of the Brest Region, took part in the VIII International Scientific and Practical Conference «Archives and Genealogy», organized by the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Karelia and the National Archives of the Republic of Karelia (Petrozavodsk, Russian Federation).

A.G.Karapuzova presented a paper entitled «Documents of the State Archives of the Brest Region from the Occupation Period (1941-1944) as a Source for the Study of Family History».

As part of the event, a cooperation agreement was signed between the State Archives of the Brest Region and the National Archives of the Republic of Karelia.

Considering that Petrozavodsk is a sister city of Brest, the implementation of joint archival projects will allow for a deeper understanding of the history of our two regions.
