Joint Information Day at the Belarusian State Archives and Museum of Literature and Art (BSAMLI) and the Belarusian State Archives of Scientific and Technical Documentation (BSASTD): National Unity Day

On September 25, 2025, the Belarusian State Archives and Museum of Literature and Art (hereinafter referred to as BSAMLI) and the Belarusian State Archives of Scientific and Technical Documentation (hereinafter referred to as BGANTD) held a Joint Information Day dedicated to National Unity Day of the Republic of Belarus, celebrated on September 17.

The event featured invited speaker Sergei Sergeevich Aleksandrovich, PhD in History and Associate Professor in the Faculty of History at the Belarusian State University. The lecture focused on the historical significance of National Unity Day, its role in shaping the national identity of Belarusians, and the importance of maintaining unity and harmony in modern society. The presentation covered key aspects of this holiday, including its historical background, the significance of the events of September 17 for Belarus, the role of national unity in the country’s development, and the importance of preserving historical memory and traditions.

At the end of the event, the special importance of National Unity Day as a symbol of national cohesion was noted. We express our gratitude to S.S. Alexandrovich for his interesting and informative presentation.
