On September 19, 2025, a ceremonial meeting of the staff was held at the Belarusian Center for Digitalization of Archival Activities to mark the Center’s 27th anniversary

On September 19, 2025, the Belarusian Center for Digitalization of Archival Activities celebrated its 27th anniversary.

The Belarusian Research Center for Electronic Documentation (BelNITsED) was established in accordance with Resolution No.1465 of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus dated September 18, 1998, «On the Establishment of the Belarusian Research Center for Electronic Documentation».

Since November 30, 2000, BelNITsED has been registered in the Unified Register of Legal Entities as the «State Institution ‘Belarusian Research Center for Electronic Documentation.’« Effective January 1, 2025, the State Institution «Belarusian Research Center for Electronic Documentation», pursuant to Resolution No.545 of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus dated July 26, 2024, «Issues of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Belarus», and based on Order No.43 of O.L.Voinov, Director of the Department of Archives and Records Management of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Belarus, dated September 17, 2024, was renamed the State Institution «Belarusian Center for Digitalization of Archival Activities» (BelCDA).

During the event, D.V.Shabrov, Director of the Center, addressed the staff. He spoke about the Center’s history, the main stages of its formation and development, warmly congratulated the staff on its anniversary, and conveyed congratulations from the leadership of the Department of Archives and Records Management of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Belarus.

Awards for the most outstanding employees were also presented to coincide with the celebration. The Center’s thanks were extended to:

– Davud D.V., Leading Specialist of the Information Development Department;

– Dragun P.I., Service Car Driver;

– Korolenok D.P., Legal Advisor.

Continuing the meeting, at the request of D.V.Shabrov, the Center’s longest-serving employee, Honorary Archivist of Belarus, and Head of the Archival Technology Automation Department, A.V.Surkova, spoke to those gathered about the events and individuals that, during the difficult 1990s, inspired the creation of a research center for electronic documentation in the country’s archival industry, and the first steps toward automating archival work. Anna Vladimirona concluded her remarks with a wish for our youth: love your work, never give in to difficulties, learn to set goals, and achieve them.
