As long as we are united, we are invincible!

The new archival storage facility of the State Archives of the Gomel Region, located at 23 Kosareva Street, which was commissioned in 2024, is currently the center for the preservation of documents in the Gomel region. That’s why Gomel archivists warmly welcomed their colleagues from the Zonal State Archives in Zhlobin, where the archival storage facility’s occupancy rate is over 90%.

On September 18, 2025, the relocation of underused documents from the Zonal State Archives in Zhlobin to the new archival storage facility of the State Archives of the Gomel Region was organized.

The Zhlobin colleagues received coordinated and unanimous assistance in relocating the documents—957 archival boxes—from the staff of the State Archives of the Gomel Region, the State Archives of Public Associations of the Gomel Region, and the Main Justice Department of the Gomel Regional Executive Committee. The joint effort to relocate 12,736 storage units will ensure the continued uninterrupted acquisition of the Zonal State Archives in Zhlobin for up to 10 years.

This event is a clear demonstration of mutual support and assistance, demonstrating the unity of archival workers in achieving these goals.
