Visit of the National Historical Archives of Belarus to Secondary School No.27 in Minsk and the Minsk State College of Digital Technologies on Knowledge Day
On September 1, 2025, as part of the republican campaign «Archives for Schools», representatives of the National Historical Archives of Belarus visited the state educational institutions «Secondary School No.27 in Minsk» and «Minsk State College of Digital Technologies». Director of the National Historical Archives of Belarus Mikhail Glushakov became an honorary guest at the ceremonial events dedicated to the beginning of the new academic year and presented the institutions with memorable gifts – popular science books from the «Library of the Union State» series dedicated to the life and work of outstanding people of Belarus and Russia – Francysk Skaryna, Ivan Fedorov and Mikhail Lomonosov.
Deputy Director Sergei Ryndin held the first lesson for middle school students of the State Educational Institution «Secondary School No.27 of Minsk» and «Minsk State College of Digital Technologies» on the topic «Relay of Generations: Preserving the Past, Creating the Future». The topic of the first lesson, determined by the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus, is aimed at strengthening patriotism among young citizens in the Year of Improvement and the 80th anniversary of the Victory of the Soviet People in the Great Patriotic War.
S.Ryndin highlighted the main achievements of our country over the years of independence in various areas: industry, agriculture, food security, space research, energy, transport, medicine, education, physical education and sports, culture. Particular attention was paid to the enormous documentary wealth stored by the National Archives of Belarus. They allow us to explore the past of our Motherland from the Middle Ages to the beginning of the 20th century. Citizens and guests of our country can study their own genealogy from the archive documents.
