New arrival at BGAMLI

On August 27, 2025, the funds of the Belarusian State Archive-Museum of Literature and Art were replenished with the family archive of Galina Alekseyevna and Leonid Evseevich Dyagilev. This valuable gift was given by the spouses’ daughter, icon painter Ksenia Leonidovna Dyagileva.

Galina Alekseyevna Dyagileva is a famous Belarusian actress, director, founder and artistic director of the Belarusian one-actor poetic theater «Znich», laureate of international theater festivals. Leonid Evseevich Dyagilev is a talented Belarusian graphic artist, teacher of the Higher School, art critic, designer, author of articles devoted to the synthesis of arts in architecture.

The Dyagilev family archive reflects the versatility of their talents and significant contribution to the development of Belarusian culture. The archive includes biographical documents, creative materials, photographs, graphic works and watercolors of Leonid Diaghilev, as well as his articles on the theory and practice of architectural synthesis.

BGAMLI expresses its deep gratitude to Ksenia Leonidovna for the transfer of a valuable collection of documents, which will allow future generations of researchers and art lovers to appreciate the contribution of the Diaghilev family to Belarusian culture.
