Representatives of the St. Petersburg delegation visited BGAMLI

On July 15, 2025, as part of the Days of St.Petersburg in Minsk, the Belarusian State Archives-Museum of Literature and Art (hereinafter referred to as BGAMLI) was visited by representatives of the St.Petersburg delegation – the head of the department for the use of documents, project and organizational work of the Archival Committee of St.Petersburg Natalya Gennadyevna Mironenko and the director of the St.Petersburg State Budgetary Institution «Laboratory for Ensuring the Preservation of Documents of State Archival Institutions of St.Petersburg» Olga Nikolaevna Peibo – accompanied by the deputy director of the Department of Archives and Records Management of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Belarus Alexey Evgenievich Tsvetkov.

For the guests, the leading archivist of the Department of Information, Publication and Use of Documents Natalia Aleksandrovna Mizon conducted a tour of the current exhibitions dedicated to the anniversaries of the People’s Poet of Belarus P.U.Brovka and the People’s Artist of the USSR and the BSSR S.M.Stanyuta. The delegation representatives were interested in the specifics of the work on the acquisition, scientific description and popularization of documents of literary and artistic figures stored in the BGAMLI.

During negotiations with the director of the archive-museum Elena Aleksandrovna Makarenko, the prospects for cooperation between the BGAMLI and the archives of St.Petersburg were discussed. An exchange of catalogs and guides to the archives of St.Petersburg and the BGAMLI took place.

As part of the reception of guests, the archive-museum prepared a gift – an excursion to the Art Gallery of Mikhail Savitsky, where you can get acquainted with the life and work of the outstanding Belarusian artist, as well as immerse yourself in the history and culture of Belarus.

BGAMLI hopes for further fruitful cooperation with the archives of St.Petersburg.
