On the excursion within the framework of the «Archives for School» campaign at the institution «State Archives of Public Associations of the Mogilev Region»

As part of the celebration of the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory, the «Archives for School» campaign, on July 1, 2025, the institution «State Archives of Public Associations of the Mogilev Region» was visited by 2nd-year students of the Faculty of History and Philology of the Mogilev State University named after A.A.Kuleshov.

During the excursion, the students learned about the history of the archive, the main areas of its activities. They got acquainted with the presented exhibitions «Defense of the City of Mogilev», «Partisan Movement», «80th Anniversary of Victory», «Genocide of the Belarusian People during the Great Patriotic War». They watched a documentary «History of the Great Victory», prepared by the «Belarusian State Archive of Film, Photo, and Sound Documents».

As part of this event, students visited the museum room, which contains exhibits from the party and Komsomol times, allowing them to get acquainted with the history of the party archive and immerse themselves in the atmosphere of that time. A sightseeing tour of the archive storage was conducted, during which students became familiar with the composition of the stored documents and the storage regime.
