Participation of BGAMLI in a round table dedicated to the 120th anniversary of P.U.Brovka

On June 25, 2025, the leading archivist of the Department of Information, Publication and Use of Documents of the Belarusian State Archive-Museum of Literature and Art (hereinafter referred to as BGAMLI) N.A.Mizon took part in the round table and made a presentation entitled «Letters of Petrus Brovka to Evgeny Mazalkov – an epistalia that reveals the world of the poet (from BGAMLI documents)». The event took place in the Literary Museum of Petrus Brovka and was timed to coincide with the anniversary of the people’s poet of Belarus.

The archive-museum has a sufficient number of documents reflecting the creative and friendly ties of P.U.Brovka through artifacts from numerous personal funds of famous literary and artistic figures. The largest volume of letters and postcards, as well as telegrams from Petrus Ustinovich, has been preserved in collection No.259 of the poet-translator and literary scholar E.S.Mozolkov. Unlike many other letters from P.U.Brovka to various people, the letters to E.S.Mozolkov were not published. Reading them today enriches our understanding of the cultural and historical context of the era.

During the round table, the editor-in-chief of the magazine «Rodnae Slova» N.N.Shapran presented the June issue of the publication, among whose publications is the article by N.A.Mizon «Poetry» by Petrus Brovka with Critic Comments» in the section «Persona on the Pages of the Archive».

On the occasion of P.U.Brovka’s anniversary, an interview with the participants of the round table, including N.A.Mizon, was broadcast on the First National Channel of the Belarusian Radio.
