On June 25, 2025, a meeting of the Academic Council of the Belarusian Research Institute of Documentation and Archival Science was held

At the meeting of the Academic Council, reports on the implementation of planned research work for the second quarter of 2025 were considered. The reports were presented by the heads and responsible executors of the topics: I.V.Lyutarevich, S.E.Kupriyanov, A.V.Tananov, Z.V.Antonovich, E.P.Dernovich, V.A.Barbarchuk, E.V.Shumskaya, A.A.Nedashkovskaya, V.S.Pozdnyakov, V.D.Rusetskaya, M.M.Yelinskaya.

In addition, the meeting of the Academic Council considered the issue of «The use of fungicides to ensure the safety of archival documents on paper» (speaker – leading researcher of the archival science department I.A.Goncharova).

The results of the developments on all planned scientific topics received a positive assessment. Following the discussion of scientific problems, recommendations were developed for further work on the topics. In addition to reviewing the progress and results of the research work, the Academic Council recommended that articles by the Institute’s employees be published in the next issue of the periodical «Belarusian Archaeological Yearbook».

The meeting of the Academic Council ended with hearing reports from Junior Research Fellow of the Documentation Department A.A.Nedashkovskaya and Intern Junior Research Fellow of the Archival Department O.B.Guk on the results of participation in the International Scientific and Practical Conference «Real Virtual: Documentary Heritage in the Digital Age», held June 4-7, 2025 in Moscow.

The Director of the Belarusian Center for Digitalization of Archival Activities D.V.Shabrov and Professor of the Department of Source Studies of the Belarusian State University, Candidate of Historical Sciences, Associate Professor M.F.Shumeiko took an active part in the work of the Academic Council, giving useful advice and comments on the projects prepared as a result of scientific research.
