A ceremonial meeting at the National Historical Archives of Belarus dedicated to International Archives Day

On June 9, 2025, a ceremonial meeting dedicated to International Archives Day was held at the National Historical Archives of Belarus. Deputy Director of the National Historical Archives of Belarus Natalia Buloichik congratulated colleagues on their professional holiday.

Deputy Director of the National Historical Archives of Belarus Sergei Ryndin gave a lecture to the archive staff on the history of the creation and activities in the early 20th century of the Vitebsk Scientific Archival Commission – a scientific and educational institution aimed at protecting historical and cultural monuments, studying and popularizing the history of the native land, collecting antiquities, conducting archaeological research, collecting and studying ancient manuscripts and documents, organizing public lectures, reports and excursions to historical sites, publishing scientific and popular works on history, geography, archeology and ethnography.

An exhibition of documents related to the history of the Vitebsk Scientific Archival Commission, including from its collection (F. 2771), numbering 165 archival files, has been prepared for the event.
