On May 11, 2025, the Flag and Coat of Arms Square was ceremoniously opened in Vitebsk
The Flag and Coat of Arms Square in Vitebsk in the Vitebsk 1000th Anniversary Park occupies 1.7 hectares of territory in its northern part. Its development began in July last year and was successfully completed just in time for the holiday of state symbols.
In the center of the new square, a granite pedestal with a three-dimensional image of the State Emblem and the text of the Anthem of the Republic of Belarus was installed. Two LED screens are also located here. The main entrance to the new landmark of Vitebsk is from Stroiteley Avenue, where there is an interactive panel with information for citizens and guests of the northern capital.
The celebration of the Day of the State Flag, State Emblem and National Anthem of the Republic of Belarus took place today at a new location – a flagpole was installed. It is 69.3 meters high, which is higher than a 20-story building.
Among the participants of the event were employees of the State Archives of the Vitebsk Region.
