Screening of the documentary film «History of the Great Victory» by the National Historical Archives of Belarus for students of the State Educational Institution «Secondary School No.27» of Minsk

On May 8, 2025, on the eve of the Victory of the Soviet people in the Great Patriotic War, the National Historical Archives of Belarus screened the documentary film «History of the Great Victory» prepared by the Belarusian State Archive of Film, Photo, and Sound Documents for students of the State Educational Institution «Secondary School No.27» of Minsk.

Before the screening, the director of the archive Mikhail Glushakov spoke to the students, noting that the film is based on newsreel and documentary materials from the funds of the Belarusian State Archive of Film, Photo, and Sound Documents and is dedicated to the heroic feat of the Soviet people. A unique documentary chronicle of military events: from the beginning of the German occupation to the Belarusian offensive operation «Bagration» and the storming of Koenigsberg. The finale features unique footage of the long-awaited Victory Day.

The secondary school administration expressed gratitude and noted the importance of cooperation between archivists and educational institutions in the patriotic education of the younger generation.
