On the participation of the leadership of the National Archives of the Republic of Belarus in the round table «Current Issues of the Second World War and the Great Patriotic War in Modern Research in Russia and Belarus»

On May 2, 2025, a round table with international participation «Current Issues of the Second World War and the Great Patriotic War in Modern Research in Russia and Belarus» was held at the Belarusian State Pedagogical University named after M. Tank (hereinafter referred to as BSPU). One of the organizers of the event was the National Archives of the Republic of Belarus (hereinafter referred to as NARB).

The following addressed the participants of the event with welcoming words: Dean of the Faculty of History of BSPU, PhD in History, Associate Professor S.P. Shuplyak; Deputy Chairman of the Standing Committee on Education, Culture and Science, Doctor of History, Professor V.V. Danilovich; Academician-Secretary of the Department of Humanities and Arts of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, Doctor of History, Professor, Academician A.A. Kovalenya and others.

In his welcoming speech to the participants of the event, the director of the NARB A.K. Demyanyuk spoke about the close interaction of the archive and the BSPU, as well as about the great work of the NARB in preserving the historical memory of the events of the Great Patriotic War. He also handed over to the BSPU library an illustrated collection «Operation Bagration: Partisans of the Belarusian Land ..»., prepared by the NARB within the framework of the «Library of the Union State» project.

Deputy Director of the NARB, PhD in History S.V. Kulinok took an active part in the work of the discussion sections. He made a report «On the issue of the study of Nazi punitive operations on the territory of Belarus during the Great Patriotic War».
