The Zonal State Archives in Rechitsa presents a document about the Great Patriotic War – a letter from a concentration camp prisoner

The archival collection of digital copies as originals of documents of the USSR Extraordinary State Commission for the Investigation of the Crimes of Fascism includes a single letter – from Rechitsa resident Nadezhda Dubrovskaya from a German concentration camp, written between November 19, 1943 and May 5, 1945 (F. 864. Op. 1. D. 3. L. 73-73ob). In it, she tells her parents, brother and sisters about the difficult living conditions and daily 12-hour hard labor, to which she walked from the camp and back for many kilometers in shackles. At the same time, the Rechitsa prisoner does not lose hope for liberation and victory over Germany and asks her relatives to preserve the furnishings and things they had before the war at home upon her return.
